More beginners, more nations, more events!

So our mat continues to be busy, with more newcomers joining us again this week!

We were joined by new novices and experienced players this week, which is great for our development as a club. Strong numbers on the mat making for busy, cheerful sessions of people working hard  and getting a great sweat on!  Not only is the club full of new faces; we are full of faces from different nations. We have people from Algeria through Zurich on the mat and that is great.

This is all excellent for our preparation for events coming up.

On the 24th, the University Students of the club will be going up to London to compete in the London Universities Open. On the 2nd of December we host round three of the Hampshire Judo Team Championships and all members of the club can compete in that. Hopefully regaining our number one position!

Our Thursday session remains a harder work session with mainly Randori. Sunday is lighter and more technical. It is where we will be working on technique and on technical assessment for gradings.

There is still plenty of room for more, so if you live in or around Southampton come on down and say hello!
